# Cannavaro introduced

Fabio Cannavaro, born on September 13, 1973, in Naples, Italy, is a former Italian professional footballer and current coach. He played as a defender and is currently the head coach of Udinese Calcio.&#x20;

Cannavaro is historically significant for being the first defender to win both the FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d'Or.&#x20;

He also holds the record for the most appearances for the Italian national team, with 136 caps.&#x20;

* *Between 2006 and 2007, he won numerous accolades, including the World Cup, La Liga title, Ballon d'Or, FIFA World Player of the Year, and World Soccer Player of the Year.*&#x20;
